Andrea Janette Laney, 52, 5056 W. Wichita Dr., Beverly Hills, was arrested by the
Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Aug. 19, charged with possession of a controlled substance;
bond $2,000. The arrest came as the result of a traffic stop on U.S. Hwy. 19 in Homosassa,
due to a complaint of a possible drunk driver. A search of Ms. Laney's vehicle turned up

Two people were arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Aug. 19, accused

of selling items they should have known were stolen to a metal recycler, according to the

arrest reports. Heather Marie Mullins, 39 1650 W. High Acres St., Lecanto was charged with

two counts of traffic or endeavor to traffic in stolen property and false verification of owner-
ship/false identification to secondary metals recyclers (total bond $14,000). James Joseph

Okeefe, 33, also of 1650 W. High Acres St., Lecanto, was charged with one count of traffic
or endeavor to traffic in stolen property and false verification of ownership/false identifica-

tion to secondary metals recyclers ($7,000 bond).

Amanda Marie Papke, 31, 440 NE 9th St. 6, Crystal River, was arrested by the
Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Aug. 19, charged with possession of a controlled substance

(1.23 grams of methamphetamine), with her bond set at $2,000. The report stated that a
person made a complaint to the sheriff's office that he believed someone was in a shed near

the back of his property (not on his property). Deputies found a woman (Papke) and a man

in the shed who said they were looking for merchandise that was possibly stolen from a
friend. The report stated that nothing was inside the shed other than some old papers. Papke

John Patrick McGahen, 26, Dunnellon, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's

Office, Aug. 20, charged with resisting an officer without violence ($1,000 bond), domestic
battery (no bond) and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill ($2,000

bond). McGahen is accused of chasing the victim with a stick, kicking the victim numerous
times on the head and fleeing the scene while being questioned by a deputy.
