confessed to the theft. He also confessed having committed the crime to a deputy over the

phone and turned himself in at a designated place and time. Harris admitted to having sold
the four firearms for $350. He said he didn't think they could be reccovered. As Harris was
extremely cooperative and turned himself in, the report stated, he was released on his own
recognizance.

Dawn Marie Pacheco, 39, 11080 SE 201st St., Inglis, was arrested by the Citrus
County Sheriff's Office, Aug. 1, charged with felony uttering a forged bill, draft, check or

note. Her bond was set at $2,000. The report stated that Pacheco is accused of taking a
stolen check to be cashed at the SunTrust Bank located at 100 N. Meadow Crest Blvd. in

Crystal River. When deputies spoke with Pacheco at 695 N. Maylen Ave. in Lecanto, she
admitted to taking the check, which she knew was stolen, to the bank. She said she handed


the teller the check and her driver's license. She said, once the teller began to confirm the

signature on the back, she left the bank and fled the area.



Joseph Earl Calcagino, II, 20, 625 S. Scarboro Ave., Lecanto, was

Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Aug. 2 on several charges related to two incidents. He was
charged with felony agravated battery using a deadly weapon ($10,000 bond) and robbery

with a firearm or other dangerous weapon ($50,000 bond). Calcagino is accused of beating

up a man and taking items from him ($330 in cash, clothing, shoes, 54 xanax pills and a

watch) while carrying a firearm. The victim stated that several people took him to an In-
verness pharmacy to get several prescriptions filled, two were controlled substances, and
the other six were not. Afterward, the group took him to an area just off Trail 9, and he was
beaten up and robbed, and left wearing only his boxer shorts and one sock. Upon his arrest


for this crime, the report stated, Calcagino was so intoxicated, he was transported to Citrus

Memorial Hosital for observation and later released. Calcagino was also accused of taking

$1,343.07 in miscellaneous merchandise from the Homosassa Walmart on the same day.
