paramount to driving safe and polite. Perhaps there was some hidden drama or trauma that
needed to be expedited to Citrus Memorial Hospital. I hope so. Well not really, but at least I
hope there was a really urgent need to overcome road decorum. I doubt it though. I doubt
there was anything else other than flat out selfishness involved. I would say rude but selfish-
ness is more the word. Selfish because the mind of the driver that cuts me off in traffic or rides
right on my bumper considers their needs more important than mine. Isn't that really what it's
all about?
In consideration, lack of respect, and plain out selfishness? I'm supposed to cover
a story this week about Citrus County's 'teen driving awareness training'. Amen to that. As
you drive around next week think about how people's driving behavior reflects their person-
ality. Oh, and give them a break, OK? They may need to put your life second because they are
on their way to something really, really important; like Thursday night bingo. Just so you
know, when I asked the police if I could mount a 50 caliber machine gun on my hood and 'take
care of the problem myself' they said, NO! Bummer.
