breaking the brick.
The deputy searched Beam and his vehicle, but found no gun, however, he found
the brick, which was broken into three pieces.
Beam told the deputy that he did not have a gun and did not bring a gun to the
house, the report stated, but he had picked up the brick because the victim had a gun in the
house and he though he might shoot him.
Two witnesses had arrived at the residence, shortly before the deputies arrived, but
both said that they had not seen Beam with a gun. One witness stated that he saw Beam pick
up a brick and tell the victim, “If you come out, I will hit you.” This witness said that he told
Beam to leave, but he didn t. The other witness said that he saw something in Beam s hand,
but was not sure what it was.
Beam was placed under arrest and transported to the Citrus County Detention Fa-
cility. His bond was set at $5000.
