This case occurred on June 27 at Kings Bay Self Storage, located at 7957 W. Gulf to Lake

Hwy. in Crystal River. The report stated that 2 ATVs were damaged due to an attempt to
hotwire them (with damages of $300), and a bluetooth speaker set and a bicycle (with a
combined value of $490) had been stolen. Video surveillance of the theft was obtained by
deputies. Two witnesses provided deputies with information that led to Wein s arrest.
On July 19, Wein was charged with 4 counts of dealing in stolen property and 4
counts of giving false verification of ownership($28,000 bond). He s accused of scrapping
golf cart batteries at Crystal River Metal Recycling (located at 4320 W. Gulf to Lake Hwy.,
Lecanto) on July 7, 8, and 14, and of scrapping golf cart batteries at Inter-County Recycling,
Inc. (located at 1801 W. Gulf to Lake Hwy., Lecanto) on July 14.
