dead at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Fl. The shooting occurred on Wednes-
day morning, June 24, in the 600 block of Osage Ct. in Winter Springs, the residence of
Friedman's ex-wife and son. At the time of the incident, Friedman's son and another youth
were said to be present at the residence. McCarthy is said to be the boyfriend of Friedman's
ex-wife, from whom Friedman had been divorced since March (2015).Friedman taught sci-
ences at Markham Woods Middle School in Lake Mary, FL from 2009 to 2011, when he
resigned for personal reasons, according to the Seminole County School District.
