ed battery using a deadly weapon and home invasion. His bond was set at none.
According to the Citrus County Sheriff s Office, both will be charged with the

Forensic technicians gathered evidence evidence at the crime scene, and
detectives interviewed witnesses to quickly locate the suspects.

"We all worked as a team to piece together this incident - which yielded a
lot of evidence against the suspects," said Lt. Brad Smith of the Major Crimes Division of
the Citrus County Sheriff s Office. "We were able get two dangerous people off the streets
in a short amount of time with the help of the Levy County Sheriff s Office."
On Tuesday, investigators did not believe this was a random incident, although the
relationship between the homeowners and suspects was unknown at that time.
Two unidentified people who receved unspecified injuries in the home invasion
were taken to Ocala Regional Medical Center in Ocala, FL for treatment.
I wonder how many people have noticed this sign on the lot to the north of Foss Grove Path
and Hwy 19 just south of the Withlacoochee River and wondered what it was from. If you
do not remember seeing it, I bet you look next time you go by. It was the sign advertising
a successful business of helping folks to catch lots of fish, hunt for a trophy animal or just
food to eat. Located on property that once was Dessie Smith Prescott's River Lodge hunting
and fishing business, this sign stood in front of her lodge that attracted many people to take
advantage of her expertise that helped end her up in Florida Women's Hall of Fame. Several
men that were in her employ as guides are still alive today. Quite a character, Dessie could out
hunt and out fish the best of gals and guys. Photo/history by Sally Price.
