evenings, the Preserve will remain open until 45 minutes after sunset. These special events
are open to all with a $10 donation. All proceeds will go to the Education Center.
Wilderness Circle Summer Solstice
Saturday, June 30 at 11:00 AM ceremony of the Summer Solstice. The Solstice
will actually be on the 20th, the longest day of the year. But we have to wait until Mackie
can make it.
Mackie Sanford of Cherokee descent will lead the prayers in the Circle. There will be
a fire built in the center. Indian blood is not required, but just the Indian heart. The Circle
will be blessed and saged along with all who wish to enter.
Pot luck follows the Circle prayers. There will be afternoon music. Bring a dish to
share and your soft drinks, your instru,ments and - bring a friend.
