FWC conducting aquatic plant control on Lk. Rousseau
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is conducting
aquatic plant control on Lake Rousseau, a part of the Withlacoochee River which borders
Citrus, Levy and Marion counties, west of Dunnellon, through June 16, weather permitting,
for about 131 acres of invasive hydrilla (in the lake s boat trails only) and about 30 acres of
water lettuce and water hyacinth (throughout the lake) with herbicides approved by the U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency. For more information about this treatment, contact Bruce
