program with the Florida Department of Elder Affairs. SHINE provides free, unbiased and

Inglis 4th of July Old Fashioned Picnic and Pageant
An Old Fashioned Picnic and Patriotic Pageant on Saturday, July 4th at the Inglis
Community Center. The day s activities will kick off at 10am with the Patriotic Pageant
(entrants will need to check in by 9:30am). This year there will be five age groups; 0-1 year
olds, Tiny Miss & Mr. Firecracker, 2-3 years old, Mini Miss & Mr. Firecracker, 4-6 year
olds, Little Miss & Mr. Firecracker, 7-10 year olds, Junior Miss & Mr. Firecracker and 11-12
year olds, Miss & Mr. Firecracker. Registration forms can be picked up at the Inglis Town
Hall or Food Ranch.
Forms need to be turned in and a $5.00 entry fee will need to be paid in the Inglis
Town Hall before Noon on Friday, July 3 2009. There will be one boy and girl winner in
each division and one boy and girl first runner up in each division. The pageant will be held
in the Inglis Community Center. No pageant wear please, this is just a casual patriotic wear
(red, white and blue) pageant. Please see the registration form for the rest of the rules. Each
child who enters will receive a goodie bag.

Barbecue and Karaoke
AMVets William Crow Post #447, located at 33 Risher Avenue, Inglis, invites the
public to a barbecue and open karaoke fundraiser on Saturday, June 13, from 2:00-6:00
p.m. Dinner will include wood smoked BBQ - country ribs or chicken, along with scal-

Levy Summer Library Programs
All  five Levy County Public Library branches will have FREE Fam-
ily fun this summer. Join in on the fun at your local library. Large groups are
welcome, but please call in advance. For more information, contact your lo-

Singles Group Starting
If you’re 18 and older and would like to have something fun to do the third Fri-
day of the month, come and be a part of the Inglis Single’s Group. A social will be held
at the Inglis Community Center on June 19th from 7 to 9 pm. Hope to see you there!!!
Writers Group Starting
Writers Group coming to the Inglis Communtiy Center Is there a writer in you wait-
ing to come out? Well then, come to our Writer’s Club the second Thursday of each month at
the Community Center from 7 to 9 p.m. and share your story or poem with others. Our first
