US-19 Motorcycle Crash Injures Three
Sunday shortly after 8 pm. a 2001 Ford F-150 driven by 74 yr. old Louis Douberly
of Jacksonville was traveling westbound on the Nature Coast Landings access road ap-
proaching US-19. A 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Alexander Dezayas, 44 of
Gainesville was traveling northbound on US-19 in the inside lane approaching the Nature
Coast Landings access road. Douberly began to conduct a left turn on US-19 southbound
and entered the path of the motorcycle. As a result, the front of the motorcycle collided with
the driver side of the pick up truck. Both of the occupants of the motorcycle were ejected
from the motorcycle during the collision.
A passenger on the motorcycle 28 year old Robyn Jensen of Gainesville was taken
to Ocala Regional hospital with critical injuries. The driver of the motorcycle was reported
to suffer serious injuries, and was also transported to Ocala Regional. The FHP report stated
neither of the motorcycle riders was wearing a helmet. The driver of the pick up truck Louis
Douberly sustained minor injuries and was transported to Seven Rivers Regional hospital in
Crystal River. A passenger in the pick up truck 71 yr. old Virginia Douberly was not injured.
The report stated that Douberly was cited for failing to yield - leaving a stop sign.
