On April 24th W.A.R. Inc. board members hosted Dr. Robert Knight, of the Florida Springs In-
stitute, for an afternoon cruise on the lower Withlacoochee River. Dr. Knight has been engaged
by the organization to do a study of the river environment, from the spillway at Lake Rousseau
out to the estuary’s mouth, and identify measures that would help restore the river’s bio-
logical balance. They recently received a Felburn Foundation grant to begin the study by Dr.
