AMVETS Grand Opening - Saturday was the official grand opening of the William Crow
AMVETS Post 447 in Inglis. The post home located at 33 Risher Ave was graciously made
possible by Peggy Stephens and Andy Tate of Hickory Island. Members have been busy getting
the post in order and Saturday was a day of celebration to let the public know a goal had been

Gladys Celeste "Sissy" Andrews, 80, of Yankeetown passed on Thursday April

17. Celeste was born June 14, 1927 in Crackertown and spent her life in Inglis and later in life
built her home on Hwy 40 in Yankeetown with her husband Willie Joe. Survivors include her
husband, Willie Joe "Cowboy" Andrews; 2 sons, Eldridge Lee Fowler of Inglis and James K
Fowler of Crystal River; one daughter Cynthia Head of Ocala; 2 brothers AG Thompson and
wife Gertrude of Inglis and Bob Thompson and wife Juanita of Ocala; one sister Betty Jo
McGrath of Ocala; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Many friends will also miss her. She had a love for old hymnals and the songs in them.
