The Citrus County Veterans Coalition (CCVC) invites all honorably discharged
veterans, their spouse, widows and widowers along with other veterans’ organizations and
current coalition members to our open business meetings on the fourth Thursday of each

Nature Coast Volunteer Reception Center Training May 18
Volunteers who want to respond and assist during actual local disaster events are invited
to a Volunteer Reception Center drill training on Wednesday, May 18, from 2:30 p.m. to
5:30 p.m. at the Citrus County Resource Center, in Lecanto.
The training exercise is being coordinated by the Homeland Security Volunteer Team
of Citrus County and is sponsored by the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of
the Nature Coast Volunteer Center.
The Nature Coast Volunteer Center, which is the lead agency for volunteers and dona-
tions in Citrus County, hosts the drill annually to prepare for any type of disaster – natural
or man-made -- which might require the use of volunteers.
At the opening of this training session, all participants will be briefed about the differ-
ent roles that volunteers may serve in a real local disaster. The training will be held at the
Citrus County Resource Center located at 2804 Marc Knighton Court in Lecanto, just off
County Road 491 south of Beverly Hills. Call the center at 352-527-5950.
