Chicago, Chicago that
toddling town. Part 1
Last weekend a major sup-
plier of Food Ranch offered to
provide air fare and lodging for
a weekend stay in Chicago to
attend a buyers fair in that great city. My dear
wife Kathie and I decided to make the trip
when the young lady who had earned the right
to make that trip decided not to go.
Once Kathie arranged to have the
Monday at the end of the trip off we began to
prepare for our journey. Kathie, of course
needed a new outfit. She also told me that I
needed new socks. "Most of your socks have
holes in them", she said. "You have to take
off your shoes to get by security at the air-
port and you aren't going to embarrass me by
having your big toe sticking through a hole
in your sock". She also reminded me that even
though she periodically goes through my
chest of drawers and throws away any un-
derwear that has holes I still have some un-
dergarments with holes. "Please don't tell me
we have to take off our pants too because "I
draw the line there", I said.
