where they attempted to knock on the door to get help. When no one answered, the two
women hid in the backyard until deputies arrived. While they waited, they heard gunfire.
Responding deputies attempted to get anyone's attention at 9666 N. San Jose Way. No
one answered their inquiries. After finding an unsecured rear door, deputies made entry, but
found nobody inside. They did, however, discover evidence of blood spatter in the master
bedroom. They also recovered a firearm and took it into evidence.
Dispatchers soon advised deputies that a gunshot victim, 23-year-old Orbary McKinnon,
who resides at the home, was en route to Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center with a chest
wound. It does not appear that the injury is life threatening.
