Work to Begin on Duke Energy Right of Way in Inglis
Duke Energy crews will be applying herbicide applications in the right of way of
the IO69kV transmission power line corridor that starts at the Inglis Substation, located at
100 NE Inglis Avenue in Inglis, and ends at the Silver Springs Substation, located at 3001
SE 36th Avenue in Ocala. The IO69kV is a 27.55 mile right-of-way and work is scheduled
to start within the next few weeks and continue through July.
Trees are a leading cause of power outages. Duke Energy's progressive tree care
practices help minimize outages during storms. Duke Energy Florida has been recognized
for its tree care practices with the distinctive Tree Line USA designation from The National
Arbor Day Foundation. They work to balance the need for reliable electric power with sen-
