Get More “bang for your buck” at the Thrift Store
That’s right, “Get more bang for your buck” at the Yankeetown-Inglis Woman’s
Club Thrift Store 50% Off Sale. EVERYTHING in the store will be 50% OFF Tuesday,
May 3rd thru Friday, May 27th! Shop ‘til you drop Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from
10am-1pm and Thursday 5-7pm before Bingo. Update your wardrobe with the latest fash-
ions, find just the right book to read or kitchen gadget you’ve been looking for. The Thrift
Store is stocked solely by donations from Club members and the community with new
merchandise arriving weekly. So gather your shopping list and your neighbors and join us
at #5 56th St. in Yankeetown, from May 3rd thru May 27th to get the best bargains around.
All proceeds generated from sales at the Store are given back to the community, and unsold
items are donated to Yankeetown School and local area charities such as, Sheriff’s Youth
Ranch and Jesus Is.

Important Election Information for Amvets Post 447
Important notice to the members of the William Crow Am Vet post 447 . On
thursday May 12th.2011- 2 regular meetings will be held at 11:00am and 12:00pm  and
then at each of the meetings the 2nd and 3rd nomination of Officers and Trustees will held..
The election by members for the officers is from 1:00 to 5:00pm. At this time 5:00pm the
election committee will count the ballots. At 5:30 a third meeting will be recalled and the
announcement of the elected officers will held.Also then the newly elected officers will be
sworn in at one tjme by the district commander.

Stargazing at the Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve
The Chiefland Star Party Group is presenting a telescopic view of the stars and
planets at the Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve in Yankeetown at 8:30 p.m. , May 20th. The
program will take place at the observation tower. It will begin with a laser show of the
Spring Constellations. Several large telescopes will be available for viewing including the
largest “GoTo” Scope in the Southeast. Multiple objects will be observed including the
rings and moons of Saturn. The new moon gives little night light interference for better
stargazing conditions. The preserve has very low artificial lighting which add to the experi-
ence and is hard to find in our electrified environment. For your safety we recommend ar-

Amvets BBQ Dinner Fundraiser Sat. May 14
The Inglis William Crow Memorial Amvets Post 447 at 405 E. Hwy 40 will
