for fraud against Town
Sandra Lambert, 59, 8350 Hwy. 40 East, Inglis, was charged March 26, with fraud
obtaining property greater than $20,000, but less than $50,000. Her bond was
set at $20,000.
According to Lambert’s arrest report, she is accused of charging items
to a Town of Inglis Visa credit card from the period of Sept., 2009 through
Feb. 12, 2013. Lambert was employed by the Town of Inglis and handled ac-
counts payable.

County Sheriff s Office about the case while an auditor was reviewing the
town’s records during a yearly audit. The Visa card issued to Lambert for Town of Inglis
business had reached its maximum credit limit. According to the report, Lambert told Rob-
ert Beauchamp, a Certified Public Accountant who had been hired by the Town of Inglis to
perform the audit, and Inglis Town Clerk Sally McCranie, that she had used the credit card
to pay her personal bills.
When the forensic audit was completed in Late Feb., Beauchamp determined, that
from Sept. 2009 through Feb. 2013, Lambert had charged $23,290.86 on the Town of Inglis
credit card issued to her. Lambert agreed that she’d made all the charges for her personal
