Saturday's production was a play called “When Elvis Came to Town” built around
the King pulling up in his Cadillac recalled the change the rock and roller made on this town.
Each showing of the play in the courtroom used in the movie was sold out. Members of the
Tampa TCB Elvis Fan Club organized outdoor entertainment and a brisk breeze made the
day more enjoyable.
A favorite of the King, a grilled peanut butter-banana sandwich eating contest was
held along with a look a like contest. Many dressed Elvis singers got their chance on stage.
Robin and Gavin Koon who were young twins in the movie went along with the fan club
bus tour to most of the movie spots, not having seen them for 50 years.
Pam and Pat Ogles who played the young girl’s role had a table next to the twin

fans to try and catch a glimpse of the King of Rock and Roll. Many got to know the friendli-
