flags at St. Pete. Grand Prix
There is lots of excitement among the Inglis/Yankeetown Junior and Cadette Girl
Scout troops! These fortunate Scouts have been asked to participate in the presentation of
the country flags at the St. Petersburg Grand Prix Race on April 5, 2008. This great honor is a
project that was put together by Mrs. Lindsay Fox, Membership Specialist, with the Girl
Scouts of Gateway Council in Gainesville. Mrs. Fox is a National Champion go-cart driver and
works with many national racing organizations.
Inglis Junior Troop 201 and Cadette Troop 1035, both under the leadership of Ms.
Sheena Price and Mrs. Melody Carson, have been actively doing flag presentation ceremo-
nies at events including their monthly meeting, Girl Scout ceremonies, Inglis/Yankeetown
club events, Sawamish Council events, and have been very active in the Wilderness Circle
ceremonies.
As part of the experience of the St. Pete Grand Prix, the troops will be treated to not
only the presentation of the flags, but will be given passes to the race, meals at the race, and
will meet some of the Grand Prix race car drivers.
