County Sheriff s Office, March 18, charged with a felony, being a sex offender and failing to
report a change in vehicle ownership within 48 hours (bond $5,000). The vehicle in question
is a silver 2000 four-door Lincoln car. Mr. Fields told deputies, that when he registered (as
a sex offender), the Lincoln was registered to him, and staff members at the sheriff s office
asked him if he still had the same siver, four-door Lincoln, and he told them he did.
Ronald Lee Bass, 56, 4865 S. Grand Circle Ter., Homosassa, was arrested by the
Citrus County Sheriff s Office, March 19, charged with two counts of being a sex offender
and failing to report a change in vehicle ownership within 48 hours (bond $10,000). He s ac-
cused of failing to register a replaced Florida license plate to a red 1999 Chevrolet truck and
also failing to register a black 2013 Dodge four door vehicle's license plate with the sher-
iff s office as required. Mr. Bass told deputies that he did update both tags with the Florida
department of law enforcement. He said that the black Dodge four door was new and there
had been no changes to the red Chevrolet pickup truck's license plate.
