Ohio on Friday, March 17. Detectives received a tip on Sat., March 18, that the duo had just
been seen at a truck stop in Barboursville, W. Va., just off the Interstate 64, 29th Street. exit.
Deputies with the Cabal County (WV) Sheriff s Office immediately went to the location and
took the two into custody. They were initially arrested as suspects in the theft of Ms. Free-
man's vehicle on warrants issued by the Palmetto, FL P.D., but the interview process led to
confessions in the murder of Ms. Freeman s and directions to the area in Chiefland where
they'd buried Ms. Freeman's body. Nichols and Colyer are currently lodged in the Western
Regional Jail in Barboursville, W. Va., awaiting arraignment and extradition to Florida.
Man dies following Bronson motorcycle crash
A single vehicle crash in Bronson, March 17, took the life of 50 year-old James Ed-
ward Moniz, of Bronson. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 5:30 pm, Mr. Moniz
was driving a 2016 Yamaha R6 motorcycle, traveling east on NE 61 Place, Bronson, at high
rate of speed and failed to negotiate a left curve, causing him to travel off the road, onto the
