Dennis Maita, Jr., 28, N. Riverbend Rd., Dunnellon, was arrested by the Citrus
County Sheriff's Office, March 15, charged with sell/manufacture/deliver or possess with
intent to sell/manufacture/deliver a controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia
and possession of listed chemical with intent to manufacture a controlled substance. His
total bond was set at $150,500. The arrest report stated that the Department of Children and
Families (DCR) had accused the man of manufacturing methamphetamine at the residence.
Deputies arrived, and Maita gave them permission to search his residence. Several items
were found that led to the charges, and Maita admitted that he'd manufactured the drug at
his residence approximately 4 to 6 times in the two weeks he'd lived there. Several firearms
were found at the residence, two which Maita had purchased and one that had been reported
as stolen, the report stated.
Johnathan J. MacEachern, 20, N. Croton Pt., Hernando, was arrested by the Citrus
County Sheriff's Office, March 11, charged with possession of a controlled substance (13
Oxycodone 30 mg. tablets) and possession of drug paraphernalia (straw). His total bond was
set at $5,500. The arrest was made after a traffic stop for failing to stop at an intersection in
the Quail Run community. He was also arrested on a Marion County warrant for grand theft.
Roxann L. Eagly, 58, W. Arlington Pl., Homosassa, was arrested by the Citrus
County Sheriff's Office, March 13, charged with grand theft from The Home Depot in
Crystal River on Feb. 26. The victim reported she'd mistakenly left her purse on the counter
of the Customer Service Desk, and when she returned to collect her purse, $400 was miss-
ing from her wallet. The incident was captured on the store's video surveillance, where a
woman in a motorized wheelchair, later identified as Eagly, is shown taking the money, then
leaving the area. Eagly admitted to the theft when questioned at her residence on March 13.
