charges on recent invoices. Bettin did this on March 4th following documentation presented
at the March 3 Inglis commission meeting by Inglis resident Bill Monteverde. Monteverde
said "The three agenda items were linked to purchase orders, invoice accuracy, payments,
proper adjustments and the reliability of accounting reports." Monteverde pointed out at
the meeting that Bettin's invoices were not accurate with some hourly rates for himself at
$300.00 when his contract rate is $185.00. Paralegal charges were as high as $75-$100 per
hour while the contract rate is $60/hour.
Bettin said in a memo to the mayor and town commission on March 4th that the
town was due a credit of $172.50 for charges in October, January and February. Bettin is-
sued a credit for $100 related to work involving animal control, and another $225 for work
related to the Commissioner Kesterson recall. Bettin said the Kesterson recall credit ex-
ceeds the current billing by $3.00 and the Animal control credit could be applied to another
account or he could write a check. Bettin apologized for the oversight. Bettin's January
invoices totaled $11395.50. February invoices totaled $3064.50 not including credits. All
