November 5, 2001 Inglis Town
Clerk Sally McCranie co-signed a procla-
mation penned by former Mayor Carolyn
Risher on town letterhead and with the
gold seal of the town inserted in 4 fence
post on the 4 corners of Inglis banning Sa-
tan from Inglis. This was a historic event
and garnered worldwide attention to the
town. Friday 1/29/2010 McCranie signed
a paper that could begin the banishment of
the Town of Inglis itself. McCranie signed
for petitions, from Michael White from
registered citizens who want the people to
decide if they want to keep their town or
not. Many voters feel the town is not rep-
resenting their best interest and the citizens
are having a “Tea Party” of their own.
I have always been an advocate
of “let the people decide” and I signed an
agenda item 1/29 for the Tuesday 2/9 town
meeting asking for the Inglis Commission
to let the people vote yes or no to keep their
town and if yes votes win, start immediate-
ly the process to un-incorporate the town.
