Stevens volunteered that the silver Mercury Marquis belongs to his mother. He was placed
under arrest on the second degree arson charge. The investigation determined that the ve-
hicle fire was incendiary, and a strong odor of gasoline was noted. Evidence was collected
and submitted to the state forensics lab.
