a 23 year-old Hernando man. According to the crash report by the Florida Highway Patrol,
Charles Jason Grau was traveling east on E. Ray St. driving a 1999 Honda. At the intersec-
tion with N. Camola Terrace, Grau applied the brakes, but they failed to stop the motorcycle,
which continued across N. Camola Terrace onto property located at 1805 N. Camola Ter-
race.
The report stated that the motorcycle traveled out of control, and Grau was ejected
from it, about 75 feet east of Canola Terrace. After Grau was ejected, the motorcycle over-
turned and traveled an additional 25 feet. The report stated that Grau was transported to
Citrus Memorial Hospital by Emergency Medical Services. According the the FHP, these
preliminary findings are believed to have led to the crash.
This is the present day Inglis Town Hall located at 135 Hwy 40 W when it was built in 1966.
The west end or present business section was added later. The hall was dedicated to the long
time Inglis Mayor Dewey D Allen. Present day Inglis Town Commission meetings are still held
here and there was an Inglis Community Club open to everyone which had entertainment and a
pot luck dinner once a month. A kitchen was located on the east end which is the present day
zoning officer’s office. The building served many uses for the public and organizations. From
