Veterans’ service officer holds benefits forum Feb. 28

Citrus veterans are invited to a veteran s benefits forum on Feb. 28 in Inverness.
Charles Fettes, the new Citrus County Veterans Service officer, will be conducting the fo-
rum at the Cornerstone Baptist Church at 1100 West Highland Boulevard beginning at 6:30
p.m. The topics to be covered include: ● Compensation for service connected conditions,●
Non-service connected pension benefits,● Education for veterans and dependents,● The VA
appeal process and the Board of Veterans Appeals,● Applying for health benefits.
Following the initial presentation, Fettes will be available for questions regarding
obtaining benefits from the Department of Veteran s Affairs. The event is expected to last
