Golf Without a Golf Course
Without a local golf course “Road Golf” is popular at the Nature Coast RV Park
south of the (Inglis) Barge Canal. With holes strategically placed on street corners a group
of guys and gals created their own course and regularly challenge each other. Catching the
guys in a round of play, they said “be sure and check out the girls coming behind us, they
cheat.” Stopping to talk to the gals with their balls and clubs, they responded in fun “the
guys are old, cheat and can’t count either”. Regular golf games are at 1:00 Wednesdays and
Boccie Ball challenge is Sundays at 1:00 but golf is played through out the week. Playing
this day were Guys: (lower photo) Dan, Dave, Digger, Irv and Mark. Gals: Dana, Lynn,
