Inglis-Levy County Police Beat
Barry Brian Smith, 31, Inglis, was arrested by the Inglis Police Department, Dec.
15, charged with knowingly driving while license suspended due to failure to pay traffic
fines, according to the arrest report. His bond was set at $1,500.
About 10:15 a.m., Dec. 15, an Inglis Police Officer noticed that the tag was expired
on a vehicle being driven by Heather Fawn Waybright, 27, S.W. 19th Terrace, Dunellon.
The officer waited for the vehicle to move when she stopped at the Kangaroo gas station,
but she walked away from the vehicle, according to the report., so the officer stopped her
to inform her of the expired tag. She began crying, the report stated, and told the officer
that her license was suspended. She was issued a criminal citation for driving while her
license is suspended or revoked and a non-moving violation for the expired tag (less than
six months). She was released at the scene, and a licensed driver came to retrieve the car.
According to the Levy County Sheriff’s Office’s Media Jail report, Leonard James
Ramsey, 28, N. Northwood Dr., Inglis, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff’s Office,

partment, Dec. 17, charged with possession of cocaine and obstructing an officer without
violence. The report stated that Cummings was arrested at C.R. 40 W and Dumal Pl. "dur-
ing a lawful investigation." The obstruction charge was due to his attempting to flee on a
bicycle after being told to stop by an officer. His bond was not listed.
