Shots Fired  - Continued from page 1
Lamb and Ericson were located about 7:30 a.m. in Hernando at a 3565 E. Delight
St. residence. According to two witnesses: Lamb had gone to the residence to purchase
drugs, and a large sum of money ($500) was stolen from him. Lamb was very agitated when
they left the residence after the incident. Ericson told Lamb where a gun was hidden outside
the Colomonden residence and showed him its location. Lamb went to the side door of the
residence where the confrontation had taken place. After the incident, Lamb hid the gun in
the back yard.
Lamb told detectives that his intent was to rob the men of the $500 they had taken
from him. He admitted getting into a physical confrontation with one of the men, and that’s
when the men went back inside the residence. However, he said, someone else had run to
his location, grabbed the gun and shot the door.
Man Charged With Capital Sexual Battery
Paul William Flanagan, 53, Inverness, was arrested by the Citrus
County Sheriff’s Office, Dec. 13, charged with two counts of capital sexual
batery. The arrest report stated the victim is a four year-old girl. Deputies
became involved in the investigaion on Sept. 15, but the girl stated in an inter-
view at that time only that Flanagan had touched her on the inner thigh near
her crotch. On Sept. 30, a forensic interview and medical exam was set up
with the child protection team. It was determined there was sexual abuse due  Flanagan
to some of the child’s statements.
On Oct. 7, the person who had made the complaint said the child had first told her
about inappropriate touching on Sept. 13. The child was taken for an interview by the Child
Protection Team, but the child did not disclose any information and “the case was closed
and the victim was again allowed to be around the defendent” (Flanagan), the report stated.
