certain twisted mind: unnecessarily provoking a child to hysteria? Wow, what did your
parents do to you?
With respect to the closing of the Hostess/Twinkie Bakery, yes it is unfortunate
that people are loosing their jobs, that is always a bad thing. But maybe there isn t a
market for non-food containers filled with sugar and lard that can sit on a shelf for 50
years.  However, with proper leadership and vision that plant could move on to produce
wholesome, nutritious food. They could engage local growers and produce quality baked
goods or other food products that will contribute to the process of restoring health rather
than creating obesity and other diseases related to consuming “non-food” products that sit
on a shelf for 50 years!! And in that endeavor they will create jobs -- it is always more
labor intensive to produce quality as opposed to quantity and longetivity.
That is why it is particularly poignant that an 18 month old child is having a
meltdown about loosing Twinkies!!! My point, however, is that the real story here is not
football teams that loose, or political ads that make you snooze but parents who capitalize
on their children s unhapiness by posting their “meltdowns” on u-tube and national televi-
sion. To those parents: you sicken me. And those of you that find those video clips enter-
taining, well I question your values and culture. It is people like you that make me want
to endorse government licensing of child birth! I am neither a “big government endorser
or a government hater. I think we need a certain amount of government. And to DCF,
WHERE are you on these cases. It is obvious abuse. And to the rest of you: Am I the only
one outraged by this exploitation of children being presented as news/entertainment?
