the Department nominate who they feel deserves the esteemed award. This year, two em-
ployees received the same number of nominations resulting in the dual award. During the
nomination process, both nominees were described by their coworkers as dedicated and
hard working. Joe has been serving Levy County as a member of the Department since
2006 and Katy since 2009. Both continue to show their commitment to serving others and

Inglis Christmas Parade and
Celebration a Big Success
The Inglis Christmas Parade and Party, which occurred Saturday was a great suc-
cess. You can see from the picture on the front page that there were lots of bikes; there were
also skateboards, scooters, games, fishing gear, too many to mention, and all free to the chil-
dren of Yankeetown School. The bikes came from three sources. One was our wonderful,
anonymous benefactor who comes through time and again for the children.

Another was Russ Konald of the Amvets. In addition to these two, five bicycles
were donated in honor of the late Sidney Miller, a former businessman and commissioner
in Inglis. Other donors were individuals and groups from the community and a huge thank
had sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention.
