A 23 year-old Lecanto m who later told a itrus Count
tive, according to the arrest report, “that he was mad about things beyond
his control in his life and could not explain why he took his anger out on
the victim” was charged with the sexual battery of the 29 year-old woman
who’d made the allegation against him. Kevin Allan Davis was held without
bond due to the seriousness of the charge, the report stated.
The incident was reported to law enforcement on Dec. 7. The wom-
an said the incident occurred on Dec. 5, between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. , when
she had gone to her mailbox in Beverly Hills and encountered the man,

whom she did not know. He’d asked her questions about renting an apart-
ment in the area. He apeared friendly and began to walk and communicate with her, posing
no threat as she went back to her residence. They continued to talk, and the man asked to
use her bathroom. She allowed him inside, then went into the house, herself, to make sure
he was not going to steal items from inside her home.
Once she went inside, the victim said, the man, later identified as Davis, grabbed
her by the wrist, drug her into her bedroom, removed his clothing and sexually assaulted
her. She said she closed her eyes to block out what was happening. Once done with her, the
man left the residence. The victim submitted to a sexual assault exam, provided a detailed
description of the man, and a composite sketch of the suspect was drawn. Investigators con-
ducted a neighborhood canvas, in an effort to locate the man, who was located on Dec. 8,
around 3:00 p.m.
