Carmine Phillip Bynes, 29, S. Washington St., Beverly Hills, was arrested by the
Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Dec. 8, charged with misdemeanor battery; bond $1000. The
victim stated that Bynes, her roomate, accused her of stealing his cell phone and either broke
or dislocated her left hand ring finger, bending and twisting it while trying to grab her cell
phone.
Bennie Alfred Skaggs, 29, a homeless man in the Floral City area, was arrested
by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Dec. 9, charged with grand theft and burglary of an
unoccupied residence; his total bond was set at $5,000. He's accused of burglarizing an
E. Southlake Dr., Floral City residence on Nov. 5, 2013 and taking an Emerson television
valued at $200 and a chain saw valued at $400. He was also charged in another case, the
burglary of 41 Beverage, located at 8877 S. Florida AVe. in Floral City. He's accused of bur-
glary of a structure and grand theft; $5,000 bond. In this case, Skaggs is accused of taking
cigarettes and beer from the closed business on July 29, 2013.
