November 11, 2001, started off as a peaceful day for Beverly Bender and her boy-
friend, Brian Willis but ended in a nightmare that most people can't even imagine.
Brian and Beverly had just left a Veteran's Day function in Homosassa when they
were hit by a Ford F150 (which fled the scene) and in which Beverly was also run over by two
additional cars (who also left the scene). A witness did get the tag of the truck that hit them
but Donovan fled to California-after burying the front fender of the truck that had evidence of
hitting the blue bike Bev and Brian were riding. Donovan finally returned to Citrus County

seen since court back in 2002.
