Family Dollar Store Headed For Inglis
The Inglis town commission heard a presentation from a developer representing
Family Dollar Stores at its last meeting
November 8th. The company was Found-
ed in 1959 in Charlotte, North Carolina
and has 6,800 Stores in 44 States; with ap-
proximately 45,000 employees. The pro-
posed location is the outparcel in front of
the Food Ranch Supermarket.
The property has been used for
many yard sales and is in the process of
a zoning classification change from Neighborhood Commercial (C-1) to Highway Com-
mercial (C-1-A). Boos Development Group out of Clearwater,Florida filed the application
and the process is underway with the Town of Inglis. The plans shown at the November 8th
meeting indicated an 8,000 Sq. Ft. building with 29 parking spaces. The store would face
east toward Hwy 19. Plans were anticipated to start early 2012 with completion possibly by
the summer of 2012.
Family Dollar had $7.9B in sales and more than $358M in earnings in Fiscal 2010.

Yankeetown School participates in
St. Jude’s Hospital Math-a-thon
Twenty students at Yankeetown School participated in the St. Jude’s Children’s
Research Hospital Math-a-thon, recently, working math problems for sponsors in exchange
for donations. The ten students with the the largest amount of donations had a combined to-
tal of $884.50 in donations! These ten students will be awarded T-shirts. The three students
with the most in donations - Johnathan Sellner, followed closely by his cousins, Clayton
Sellner and Kaitlyn Sellner, will additionally be awarded backbags.
