resisting	a	merchant	during	or	after	a	theft	and	grand	theft	of	$300	or	more,	but	less	than	
              
$5,000	(total	bond	$4,000).	The	report	stated	that	a	loss	prevention	office	at	the	Inverness	
      
Walmart	saw	Bishop	placing	several	items	into	a	shopping	cart	and	pass	through	the	check-
      
out	areas	without	attempting	to	pay	for	the	items.	When	the	store	officer	attempted	to	detain	
Bishop,	 the	 report	 stated,	 she	 left	 the	 items	 behind	 and	 took	 off	 running.	 Deputies	 soon	
located	Bishop	running	back	toward	Walmart	from	a	fast	food	restaurant.	She	attempted	to	
   
get	away	from	the	deputy	when	encountered.	She	told	the	deputy	she	was	sorry,	but	refused	
to	give	any	details	of	the	incident,	according	to	the	arrest	report.
	
Ronald	Edward	Buzard,	Jr.,	4090	E.	Perry	St.,	Inverness,	was	arrested	by	the	Cit-
rus	County	Sheriff's	Office,	Sept.	26,	charged	with	trafficking,	or	endeavoring	to	traffic,	in	
stolen	property	 and	grand	theft	of	$300	or	more,	but	less	than	$5,000,	with	his	total	bond	
set	at	$7,000.	He's	accused	of	pawning	a	stolen	weed	eater,	a	backpack	blower,	chainsaw	
and edger to a Marion County pawn shop. He told deputies that a friend atempted to sell
him	the	items,	and	helped	his	friend	take	photographs	of	the	equipment	to	attempt	to	sell	
via	 Facebook	 Messenger	 to	 a	 woman.	The	 report	 stated	 the	 woman	 was	 not	 interested	 in	
purchasing	the	equipment,	so	he	took	the	weed	eater	and	backpack	blower	and	pawned	it	
in	Marion	County.	Buzard	eventually	admitted	that	he	knew	the	equuipment	did	not	belong	
to	 him,	 although	 he	 said	 he	 didn't	 know	 it	 was	 stolen	 from	 his	 former	 employer;	 he	 also

Batten	is	accused	of	throwing	a	beer	bottle	at	a	female	victim,	then	striking	her	on	the	throat,
