Hear Sam Spade Live and
Onstage in Citrus County!
SPADE: "Sharpen a couple of pencils,
Sweetheart, I'll be right over"
Crystal River's Mayor Jim Far-
ley will be directing the theater troupe
Bloody Monday Capers in a production
of a Sam Spade radio play on November
8 and 9. It will be staged in the 2nd floor
courtroom of the Old Courthouse Heri-
tage Museum, Inverness.
Mayor Farley stars as hard-boiled
private detective Sam Spade in the mys-
tery "The Blood Money Caper." Spon-
sored by Wildroot Cream-Oil for the hair,
the entire production will stay faithful to
the original script, with sound effects,
sponsor breaks, and of course, Spade's
tough-guy persona.
