Road Rage  - Continued from page 3
Remembering the Past
The woman, Ms. Ford, told the deputy that she was driving north on Citrus Ave.
when a red motorcycle passed her, then slammed on his brakes, which forced her to hit her
brakes and swerve off the side of the road. She said the man got off the motorcycle, ap-
proaching her aggressively, threatening to kill her. According to the report, the woman said
she got her .32 caliber revolver from her glove box, pointed it in the direction of the victim
and yelled "stop," then fired one round to the left of the victim and one round to his right,
as "warning shots," in self defense because she was in fear for her life. When the deputy
retrieved Ford's revolver from the holster, four of the five rounds had been used. When the
deputy pointed out that there was a discrepency in the number of rounds in the gun com-
pared to her account of the incident, she stated that she had several medical conditions that
cause memory loss, and she did not wish to speak further with the deputy. Another deputy
spoke with the victim, the report stated, but no details were mentioned in the arrest report.

Saturday January 31 at 2:00 PM at the Winding River Park on Riverside Drive in Yankeetown
there will be a special dedication of a park bench. That bench will be a reminder of a couple
who chose Yankeetown as their final home.. Col. Marcus C and Gladys G West are pictured here
in March of 1972 watching the final phases of their home under construction. It was a well
planned home with an orange tile roof on the banks of the Withlacoochee River. Gladys jumped
