Withlacoochee Gulf Preserve Schedule
The WGP is an excellent place to bring your out-of-town guests.We have some
exciting programs scheduled at the Withlacoochee gulf preserve at 1001 old rock road in
Yankeetown. January 28 - Friday - keeping track of our manatee population - at 10:00
A.M. At the education center, presented by Joyce Kleen of us fish & wildlife. Joyce will
talk about aerial manatee survey data, the survey area, how the flights are conducted, how
the data is used, peak and average counts, statewide manatee surveys, and the new manatee
emergency rule along with a powerpoint presentation.
