Ever  since  Janet
Jackson’s “wardrobe mal-
function” at the 2004 Super
Bowl halftime the powers-
that-be in the NFL have tried
to tone down the halftime en-

take it down a notch or two
more as far as I’m concerned.
In case you forgot, Janet Jackson
and Justin Timberlake were performing a
routine called “Rock Your Body” at the
Super Bowl halftime show and Timberlake
grabbed her and swung her around in what
they consider a dance move, but I consider
an imitation of a couple of drunken sailors
fighting over who gets the pool table, and
her top was ripped off exposing her surgi-
cally enhanced breasts. I didn’t see it be-
cause after about 5 seconds of the routine I
had seen enough. I took the halftime break
as an opportunity to stare into the refrig-
erator and decide what to munch on in the
second half. But of course it was all over
